Official 2026 SEAI Better Energy Homes Insulation Grant Amounts
Standard individual grants below apply to any homeowner or private landlord (pre-2011 build). Higher grant rates (+€500 per measure) apply to recipients of Fuel Allowance, Working Family Payment, One-Parent Family Payment, Carer's Allowance, Domiciliary Care Allowance, or HAP/RAS landlords.

3 Golden Rules so You Never Lose Your SEAI Insulation Grant
- Apply Online Before Works Start: Enter your 11-digit MPRN and Eircode on the SEAI Individual Energy Upgrade Grants portal and name your SEAI-registered contractor before any material is installed.
- Post-Works BER Is Mandatory: You must have a registered BER Assessor publish a post-works BER certificate after your insulation is finished (SEAI adds a €50 BER grant automatically to your first claim).
- 8-Month Completion Window: All grant works and the post-works BER must be uploaded within 8 months of the date on your Letter of Offer.
